Anyone ekse missing The Edge?

but 94-5 The Edge played the Fugees back in the day, as well as both Eminem and Outkast. As far as Ellie Goulding goes, some of her tracks fit under the EDM genre, just as Alex Clare and Bastille do. The alternative genre isn’t just rock, but consists of different genres. EDM is part of the new alternative just as synth pop was in the 80s.

Those artists have their roots in Alternative. So while they are now very mainstream, you have to respect their origins.
