UV-5R won't work...

Hi, first off I'm new to this forum and ham radios, so I don't even know if this is the appropriate place to put this. Anyway, I recently bought a Baofeng UV-5R, and well it seems to be broken. No matter what button I press nothing happens (aside from the beeping noise), and it will only display "Firehol" on the top line and
"Max" on the bottom/second line. What in the world does "Firehol Max" mean and how do I fix it so it works
