Monopoly eliminating "thimble" game piece

Hasbro has announce in the newest version of the game Monopoly they are eliminating the "thimble" game piece.

Very true. I think they will forever deliberately replace game pieces just to get people to buy a whole new Monopoly set.
I like the idea of a dog vs a cat though. That was a nice touch.

Other pieces have already been replaced, so it is not the same as the original game.

I see that instead of a dollar sign for money, they have a strange "M".
Why don't they just switch to that oddball "simoleans" symbol and be done with it.
They ruined enough tradition when they made changes to luxury tax & income tax - and that "speed die".
Anyway - Enough.

My favorite game piece to use when we played (as kids) was the top hat, with the car a close second. Still hate to see the thimble go, though.
