    If you're hearing more noise close to a utility transformer, write your local utility an E-mail, alerting them to the noise and that their transformer may be on the verge of failure. Request they solve the interference. They are generally willing to.

    I used to experience this in the 60's (64-66) living in south philly with WIBBAGE, when they powered down to 10kw at night. I could barely hear them and the interference was tremendous and this was when all of the computers, cell phones and other devices of today never existed. Doowopfan, do you own that little blue sports car parked around 15th and Bigler with the tag doowopfan on it?
