R & J Broadcasting has closed on its purchase of eight Minnesota radio outlets from Red Rock Radio Corp. Included in the deal were KGHS-AM (1230) and KSDM-FM (104.1)/International Falls, KKIN-AM & FM (930/94.3)/Aitkin, KFGI-FM (101.5)/Crosby, KLKS-FM (100.1)/Pequot Lakes, WWWI-AM (95.9)/Baxter and WWWI-FM (95.9)/Pillager. Red Rock Radio is a Minnesota-based company headed by Kathy Lau and Shawn Skramstad. R & J Broadcasting, is a Minnesota-based company headed by Jim Birkemeyer. Kalil & Co. brokered the deal.
