Barb Abney was let go from GO 96.3 on Thursday August 4, 2016.
GO stated the reason for the dismissal was low ratings.
No matter what the job, if someone is not preforming to expectations it's understandable.
Her midday shift, however, now consists of nothing more than station liners and sweepers.
When you're replaced with the equivalent of "The Unknown DJ", it's purely a salary dump.
Good luck to Babs! She's a classy lady who treats her audience like family and deserves better than this.
