My roommate was at Porter Hospital in Denver last week. Now I didn't get the line-up he had but I did notice KMGH is pulling a KUSA that being "Denver"s 7 Espanol". Didn't watch much of it but it was funny and weird to see their weatherguy Mike Nelson talking in Spanish. My roommate also says that KMGH is planning a newscast that targets Muslims in the future. If this is correct I hope KMGH knows that to target Muslims you will have to hire actual Muslims and not having one of their sexy weather chicks suddenly wearing a burqa.

Another hotel stay for me. This time, Super 8 in Bradenton and boy did I enjoy this lineup very much. Notice this was interesting because only WEDU and WFLA's subs were carried (though not all by both stations), there's a EPG with fuzzy quality, InfoMas is no longer on air and Spectrum Sports Florida is going off-air later this month. Plus, both WEDU and WFLA appear twice and I even got to see WEDQ (the former WUSF-TV) and NY1. Enjoy this lineup!

Time Warner/Spectrum systems outside the NYC DMA have NY1 available on the extra digital packages

Also no ESPN U or Golf Channel ;-) but they still give you ESPNEWS instead of WJCT or WCWJ.
 
A friend of mine recently had her elderly mother pass away in a hospice.

She commented to me that the hospice's cable package did not include the music channels that
are typically found on cable (something her mom might have appreciated). A nurse told her that
the management had dropped them due to budget reasons.

So what WAS on the cable package for her 90+ year old mother?
Food Network (and people in hospice are no longer eating or drinking anything)
and MTV (there's something that would have been really relevant to her mom!)

What the.....?
