Airchecks: KFAV 'V-100' (99.9 MHz) Warrenton, MO, 1991-1993

KFAV Warrenton, MO (99.9 MHZ) serves the western suburbs of the St. Louis area. The station primarily covers St. Charles, Lincoln, and Warren counties, an area known as the "Westplex." For 20 years, KFAV has had a country format, and compliments its AM sister station KWRE (730 kHz) which has a classic country format.

In its first two years on the air, KFAV was a CHR known as 'V-100.' Being slightly out of the St. Louis market allowed the station to break newer hits first, and it was a playlist I enjoyed. During the overnight hours, V-100 added alternative cuts that weren't played on commercial radio at the time.

The V-100 airchecks I have include the sign-on from 7 November 1991, an overnight "lunch" show from 27 and 29 May 1992, and from 8 August 1993. The files are 192/44.1, and can be found at this folder link:
