A politician for the 2016 Philippine elections has sued a tv network for airing attack ads. Well the network has to confront a freedom of speech issue with the super-Pac that paid them to air the ad. Also the network is on the political crosshairs in this lawsuit.

Update the TV network was ordered by the courts not to air political attack ads due to election regulations in the Philippines. This has been updated to Restraining order against a TV network.

Note the person who just filed the lawsuit against the TV network won the Philippine Presidency.

The Al-Jazeera story noted that incorrectly noted Cebuano and Bisaya are different. For the record, Visayan/Cebuano is the same language and it is the native language of Cebu and the middle region of those tiny islands that make up "Visayas". The writer probably meant that Visayan is the lingua franca of Mindanao. This probably stems from the widespread misunderstanding of the definition of "dialect" among Filipinos.

Now John Oliver and Trevor Noah went after Duterte for his questionable antics and aired the superpac ads uncensored. Yes they showed the Anti Duterte attacks uncensored and is creating outrage in the Philippines. Wow the President of the Philippines is now getting international exposure for questionable reasons after the banning of the Anti-Duterte Ads were banned in the Philippines.
