"The Man with Two Brains." [1983] When brilliant brain surgeon Dr. Michael Hfuhruhurr (Steve Martin) accidentally hits gold-digger Dolores Benedict (Kathleen Turner) with his car, he takes it upon himself to save her life using his own surgical technique. The two are soon married, but no sooner are the rings on their fingers than the marriage begins to fall apart. While honeymooning in Vienna, Hfuhruhurr is introduced to reclusive scientist Dr. Alfred Necessiter (David Warner), who practices some rather unorthodox procedures.

In 1921, 12-year-old Benny Goodman showed up on a Mississippi riverboat, clarinet in hand, anxious to play in a small jazz band led by the legendary Bix Belderbecke. "Go away, boy", Bekderbecke reportedly said, "and don't mess around with the instruments." But Goodman did much more than mess around: he wowed Belderbecke with the charm and musicianship that were to become his trademarks. Those qualities are recalled here in clips of some prime Goodman performances, and are also re-created in renditions of his standards by Patti Page ["Goody, Goody"], Lionel Hampton ["Air Mail Special," "Flying Home"]; and Grammy-award winning clarinetist Richard Stoltzman ["Don't Be That Way," "Memories of You."]
