Classic Hip-Hop launches in Erie, PA

The growing list of Cumulus Classic Hip-Hop stations adds the former I 104.3 in Erie as the station switches from Top 40 to Classic Hip-Hop as 104.3 The Vibe.

With a 0 share in the Fall book, it only makes sense for this former CHR. There are no other Urban or Urban A/C's in the Erie market.

This has been HUGE format hole in the market not having any type of real urban outlet. The stations Facebook page already has more likes than BOB FM and Z 102.3 combined, more than WXTA Nash FM and coming close to Classy 100. The response has been amazing. You can literally hear the buzz. I can see another flip in the near future to a more mainstream urban contemporary (not heavily leaning in any one direction) with 104.3 being it's companion HD signal.
