Heaven is a Techno-Dance Infected Place on Earth

And I use "infected" in a positive vein, I assure you.

Sometimes at Walgreens I hear a techno-dance version of "Heaven is a Place on Earth", complete with vocalist sounding uncannily like Belinda Carlisle. Carlisle's 1987 version makes me nostalgic for that year, but until recently I never heard this techno-dance version, which I like. Who did this version?

What does EDM stand for? Again, I'm not a recording geek.

I'm not a recording geek, but I'm a Lutheran, so I'm used to deciphering acronyms. I'd bet a small sum of money that it stands for Electronic Dance Music.

I'd probably have spelled it out.

Can't believe nobody else has heard this version.

There's a remake from the early 2000's by a Euro group named Soda Club. That's the most popular remake & probably it.
Also Becky Baeling did an EDM cover of "Heaven is a Place on Earth". It's from the soundtrack to the movie "Sleepover". That could possibly be it as well.

I looked it up on YouTube. Heaven is a Place on Earth. I was able to listen to enough of it to recognize that it was the techno, EDM version everyone was talking about, about :30. Then I took off my headphones, because I didn't want my brain to explode.
