KSL pushing "Days of Our Lives" to 1:05-AM... In the middle of the night.

It's a good thing that we've got TiVo because The NBC Salt Lake affilliate is taking the same route as KSNV-But instead of moving the soap to another station, They decided to put "DOOL" over to the graveyard spot. The Reason? It's the same station who pulled "The New Normal" & "The Playboy Club" off their schedule. Nice going.

that's weird. Comcast needs to buy KSL-TV so all of their NBC programming gets cleared.

They can't because they're a cable company. They only reason why they got to keep the NBC stations which were already owned by them was by virtue of a waiver from the FCC. That waiver WOULD NOT extend to KSL or any other station going forward

Looks like NBC might find another station in SLC, since KSL might end up becoming an Independent since that station is still tied up with a religious organization that is known as The Mormons.

Maybe KUCW. NBC 30? I could probably imagine that. NBC should yank KSL's affiliation, due to the preemptions, and especially SNL for many years...

You know that KSL's parent company will not allow programs that they see as pornography or LGBT-related air on the station, and given that the latter is part of the storyline on Days Of Our Lives, we can see why they did this move. Then again, KSL must really be serious about sticking with NBC, even clearing SNL to make a point about their loyalty to the network.

I think KSL has also dodge the bullet when it pulled the remaining episodes of "Hannibal"-As that show was deemed very Inappropriate to its owned viewers, and "Hannibal" will be back-but KSL might move the show somewhere else. "Hannibal" would be a good fit for cable TV-On a network like FX, AMC, or A&E.

I would favor Gannett, Hearst, Journal, LIN, Meredith, or Raycom buy KSL from Bonneviile International than Comcast National Broadcasting Company Universal as a way for KSL to not have to worry about preempting any NBC programs anymore that is offensive to any TV viewer within the entire state of Utah and the entire Salt Lake City television designated market area in it's entirely.
