Changes at The Score 1260

The Score 1260 is pairing up with CBS Sports Radio and making some changes to their line-up. They are finally going 24 Hours All Sports and getting rid of Don Imus in the Morning. Mike Lindsley is moving to the afternoon drive and taking the majority of Brent Axe old spot 3pm to 6pm. Moving Lindsley will make room for Jim Rome 12 to 3.

New Weekday Lineup
6am - 9am: CBS Sports Mornings with Tiki, Brandon, and Dana
9am - 10am: John Feinstein
10am - noon: Bud and the Manchild
noon - 3pm: Jim Rome
3pm - 6pm: The Afternoon Drive with Mike Lindsley
6pm - 10pm: Chris Moore and Brian Jones
10pm - 2am: Scott Ferrall
2am - 6am: "The D.A. Show" with Damon Amendolara

Where did Axe go?

You're a bit behind... Axe was originally working for syracuse.com part-time before he joined The Score, and continued to do some sports blogging for them over the years. The syracuse.com people recently went through a major restructuring, which apparently included offering Axe an offer good enough to get him to leave radio and work for syracuse.com full-time.

So, midday guy Lindsley gets Axe's old shift. Fast-forward to last week: Lindsley himself is exiting for a new job in Albany. In both cases, the shift Lindsley used to hold was filled by syndicated talent, as WSKO is owned by Cumulus... and Cumulus is the force behind the CBS Sports Radio Network. Cumulus can brag that it has yet another top-100 market affiliate clearing both Jim Rome and Doug Gottlieb, though it's at the expense of seeing what used to be an impressive 8-hour daily run of local sports talk whittled down to just 2 hours. (Across town, the local ESPN Radio affiliate's only daily local talk show is in the afternoon... which originally seemed paltry by comparison, but now outdoes The Score 1260 by a 2:1 margin in terms of local hours per day.)
