WIFR (Rockford) replacing Accuweather with Antenna TV on 12/17

I know this is a couple of weeks old, but WIFR is replacing its Accuweather channel (on 23.2) with Antenna TV effective December 17th. At least on Facebook, they've been promoting the hell out of it. I no longer live in Rockford (haven't since 1988), so I'm not sure how they're promoting via TV and/or print.

I know Weigel Broadcasting has a low-power station that was once used to re-broadcast WCIU's programming into Rockford, but it currently carries the company's Telemundo affilaite from Milwaukee (WYTU). I think I read somewhere recently that the same station will add Me-TV as a subchannel in the near future.

Hey-hey, we here in the Quad Cities experienced the same thing early last year. Before channel 8-2 became Antenna TV, it was an AccuWX channel...
