If a client voices his own spots (60s) and is also running for political office…should you knowingly run the regular commercials for his business DURING that heated election as regular inventory…
Should you really be advertising a local cigarette store’s “roll your own for only x per carton” .. mentioning the word “cigarettes” throughout the spot (even though the Public Health Cigarette Smoking Act banned Radio/TV advertising of cigarettes as of Jan 2, 1971)

A. Equal opportunity rules apply. They should document this in the political portion of the public file.

B. You can't say "cigarettes".

Should they be? They can do whatever they want until they get nailed. There are so many ways to script a message for a cigarette store that don't violate the rules.
