Christmas Music

101.7's sister station in Hartford Country 92.5 flipped at 12 Noon today. They're doing 36 hours of Christmas Music and they are mixing traditional Christmas Music in with Country Versions. Side note. Also in Hartford i-Heart's Variety Hits 105.9 The River flipped today as well. So now we're up to 3 Christmas stations in Hartford. WTIC 1080 usually flips at Noon on Christmas Eve, but they are carrying both The New England Patriots Game and probably The New York Giants football game as well. (WTIC carries both teams).

The new boss (Entercom) is same as the old one (Beasley) at WMJX 106.7--as the reg. signal goes back to adult contemp., the HD2 has reverted to all Christmas. Well it still is the holiday season.

Now that Christmas is over, lets talk about stations that have STOPPED playing Christmas music. It seems like WMJX is still sprinkling some Christmas tunes in, WWLI is still all-Christmas, and all other stations have stopped completely.

Vahey brings up a good point on FB--next yr Beasley could flip ROR to Christmas while Ent does same to MJX.Revival of dual Yule stations, like ODS vs ROR or Magic.Add to that iHR's WSRS and The Bull 101.7 (but only just before holiday).
One year the dual Yule stations debuted quickly one after another on Nov 8.

Can I get a link to the post in question?

Don't know if I can directly link to Kevin's FB post but his timeline is https://www.facebook.com/Fenway1912 and the post was made on Dec 27. He had a pic of the ratings list and wrote:

:Magic 106.7 cashes in with Christmas music again but I have to think that under the ownership swaps that WROR will flip next year.

Have any New England stations flipped to Christmas music yet?
