WRSG radiothon

We completed an abbreviated 12-hour radiothon which began this morning at 6 to benefit the Silver Knights (Tyler Consolidated Middle and High School) marching bands. We set a goal of one thousand dollars, and actually reached $1375.00. This was WITHOUT the use of conventional media (we only used our high school station-WRSG-flyers distributed to businesses, and social media). Obviously, I wouldn't recommend this approach, but fortunately everything worked out.

Several items were available for those fulfilling a pledge of at least fifty dollars. I'm very proud of our local businesses that donated dollars and merchandise, and of our loyal listeners. I'm especially proud of members of both bands, with one member staying the entire time and making a major contribution to the bands' success. A fun time was had by all-the kids kept the drama on the other side of the studio door-and no doubt made their band director very proud. This is what makes working in radio FUN.
