Just to put the BBC comment in context, they described Coldplay as the band who is passing U2 as the worlds biggest band. Their comments are coming after Coldplay's new album X & Y went #1 in 38 countries and moved a heck of alot of albums in the past three weeks. While the Backstreet boys are a "boy band" Coldplay is certainly a rock and roll band from England who traces its sounds to other great British rock and roll bands like Travis, Radiohead, etc. Other than XPN who is playing this obviously successful brand of rock music in this city?
