Who Could It Be??

Oldies 92~Seven is teasing the arrival of a Radio Legend in the next couple of days. And who might that be? Um, let's explore the possibilities: Bruce Kelly? The Old Gringo? W. Steven Martin? Al McCoy? Danny Bonaduce? Bone Mama? Dave Pratt? The Nearly Bald One? J J, the King of Beepers? Nurse Jeff?

Excitement is running amok at the Buckeye Media Hut, with radio dials set to Lumberyard 14~Forty, 92~Seven, and 93~Three HD Too. This might be bigger than Edd Byrne's comb!

Word is they obtained DNA from long departed Arthur Godfrey and successfully cloned him like Jurassic Park twenty years ago. Arthur II is now twenty two years old and ready to go on the air playing those Jurassic Hits.

Since the promos on Thursday said "...in 2 days..", my guess is Casey Kasem, American Top 40. Here's a long distance dedication...

And why if able, so many old-timers would want a radio and TV personality like that back. Something about making America great.
Ya think so?

We don't have a modern-day variant of that in Seacrest, or Stern?

Anyway...won't matter. In twenty five years, 99% of all Boomers will be dead.

In 2049 the oldest Boomers will be 103, the youngest 85.

Going by current longevity metrics, that would mean ~15% of Boomers would still be alive 25 years from now, perhaps 20% with improvements in healthcare.

Also going by those same metrics, the last Boomer will die around the year 2082.

At age 85, right now in 2024, between five and six years of life remain for the statistical majority of the population. I don't think chasing those outliers on the far right-edge of the bell curve is really going to benefit any advertiser out there. ;)
