What Happened to WGBH Kids on NHPTV?

In 2012, New Hampshire Public Television aligned itself with WGBH-TV Boston. As part of that deal, it added the subchannels World, Create and Kids, which are also subchannels of WGBH and WGBX.

I noticed this year, Kids has been dropped. I believe it's still a subchannel of WGBX and other PBS stations such as WNET New York also carry a Kids subchannel. So why was it dropped on NHPTV?

NHPTV Broadcast Channels

Hello from NHPTV! We have contracted for services with WGBH Boston in certain areas, but both New Hampshire Public Television and WGBH remain independent of one another, community supported, and individually operated stations.

Due to limitations of our broadcast stream, we were unable to continue to offer the PBS KIDS channel over the air. It is still available on Comcast. The other cable systems serving New Hampshire do not carry it. If you have any other questions about our broadcasts and programming, please feel free to e-mail [email protected].
