WFQY (970 AM) has ended its simulcast with WZQK (1240 AM).
WFQY now has its own format: inspirational gospel...at least for now. (The station's new branding is still unknown.)
In August, 2023, WFQY ditched classic hip-hop (which which can still be heard online) to simulcast WZQK. (Since July, 2021, WZQK's format has been classic hits. The format had been moved from the now-defunct WJMF-LP [a Franken FM].)
Jackson Radio LLC owns both WFQY and WZQK--as well as their respective translators, W256BL (99.1) and W232DD (94.3).
