That's a weird looking radio.. I think I'd suspect something was up.
In 1964 or '65 I got a toy radio that was black plastic and fake chrome.
Push the right button and a gun barrel came out of one end, then the bottom half swung down on a hinge and
opened out, locking when extended to form the stock end of the rfile. It Had sights along the top.....
This was the height of the "secret agent man" craze. I had alot of fun with it,
and somewhere there is a movie of me with it.
Anybody remember the General Electric "Blue Max" AM transistor radio with the lighted blue dome and the tuning ring in the cylindrical body? A uniquue-looking, excellent radio...late 60s, early 70s vintage.
