WDTW isn't playing Americano or Stereo Love.
Give it time. After all, they are playing "Like A G6."
So is just about every CHR and CHR/Rhythmic station.

Guess what? WDTW just added "Stereo Love!"

OMG!!1 You mean after it hits 27 on the Top 40 chart?

Dance friendly would have been adding it weeks ago.

I still say WKSL is the most KTU-like station in the country right now.

KLS is very good but their audio quality of the stream leaves alot to be desired,, If I can afford royalties and bandwidth to run a nice SQ 128k station,, which is a crappy bedroom station, why cant big corps launch streams with good quality that us net only stations use?

Well, the November 2010 Detroit PPMs came out, and it looks like listeners are feeling "The Beat": It moved 2.4-3.0 and it must've put some dent in sister station WKQI's numbers.

Congrats to "The Beat", looks like what they're doing is actually helping.

Ouch... it looks like 9-5-5 fell off the top 10, they're now #12, and 98.7 AMP Radio (#15) is close to beating them.

Does WDTW even have mixshows?

Not yet, but they do air "Remix Top 30" on Sunday nights from 7 to 10PM. BTW WDTW afternoon DJ Joe Rosati is also one of the show's producers. Chances are that they don't want to compete with WKQI's Bomb Squad and WJLB's mixers on Friday and Saturday nights..

I still think Channel 95.5 and Amp are enough for Detroit. Unlike some other areas, Detroit already has enough top 40/rhythmic stations.

On the subject of WDTW's sister station, The Detroit message board is hinting that WKQI seems to be going to the "Premium Choice" department for its weekend fix lately, so something must be up...

I decided to revisit this thread. And after looking at the 2.2-3.8 surge in the Holiday 2010 book, it looks like the WKQI/WDZH Top 40 battle is benefitting WDTW in more ways than one.
