Did WASH-FM do the Christmas format? While they did well, they didn't seem to get as big a 'bump' as other iHeart Christmas stations in the Holiday book....

From right there in the Washington DC Ratings Roundup:

"For the second book – and second year – in a row, SANTA was denied the 6+ championship. As has become the norm, AMERICAN UNIVERSITY N/T WAMU was both #1 and in double digits (11.3-11.5). The holiday hit purveyor was iHEARTMEDIA AC WASH. It was back at #2 with a share that was eerily close to last year’s 10.9 (9.6-11.0)."

News and politics beats out the Christmas spirit? Must be DC :D
Actually, if you look at other markets, particularly in-demo listening, where there are multiple Christmas music stations in a market, typically there is only one winner. The rest are further down the line.
I hope that this trend will dissuade so many stations from going all Christmas after Thanksgiving. It was getting pretty ridiculous.
