In Connecticut the first FM Spanish station was WLVH 93.7 in Hartford. They went out of business in 1989. 20 years later Hartford once again got an FM Spanish station. Full-Power Radio launched Spanish CHR BOMBA-FM on 104.1 HD2 and a translator on 97.5 (now 97.1) in November 2009. They added 4 other translators throughout the state plus an AM and a translator in Springfield, Mass.
Fast Forward to the Spring of 2016 and GOIS Broadcasting put Latina 1230 WNEZ (Manchester/Hartford) on a translator on 105.3 and rebranded the station as Exitos 105.3 - I call the format Spanish Variety and it includes brokered Spanish Religion after 10PM. (

Then in early 2017 Gois Broadcasting added an FM translator for their Spanish CHR station Mega 910 WLAT on 101.7 FM. The station rebranded from Mega 910 to La Mega 101.7 - they only mention 910 during their TOH Legal ID. "WLAT New Britain/Hartford 910 AM. W269DE 101.7 FM Hartford. La Mega Se Pega".
Finally in the summer of 2017 the new owners of La Gigante 840 WRYM (New Britain - studios and antenna in Newington) added a 107.3 FM Translator. In late 2017 they rebranded the station Viva 107.3 and 840. (WRYM celebrates 49 years playing Spanish Music in 2017). (

There are 3 other Spanish Stations in the state of Connecticut that do not have FM translators.
WADS 690 (Ansonia) a daytime only Spanish Religious Station called AMOR 690 broadcasting from studios in New Haven.
WCUM 1450 (Bridgeport), which is known as Radio Cumbre. I have no idea how they survive with the 250 watt Bomba Translator on 104.5 in Bridgeport.
WPRX 1120 (Bristol), which has been broadcasting without an FCC license since it was revoked in June 2017. (Studios are in New Britain antenna is in Bristol). (
