Summertime Song

Thought I would ask a fun question to all of the Lehigh Valley/Reading radio fans posting on the board:

What is your all time favorite summer time song? If you have a few of them then that is okay to ;D

Can't wait to read what everyone has to say and I will put mine up in a bit!

60s Surfin' Safari, Beach Boys
70s Summer Breeze, Seals + Crofts
80s Cruel Summer, Bananarama
90s ...can't even get ONE from this forgettable decade :-\
00s Crazy in Love, Beyonce
10s California Gurls, Katy Perry

Great song choices! I love that you mentioned ones from several decades and it is cool to see just how much some of those songs really get a ton of airplay over the summer months.

Eschewing the obvious hits, Allie :

'Look Who's Laughing Now' -- Bruce and Terry

'Here Comes Summer' -- Dave Clark 5 (of all people ; give it a spin, really)

And theee favorite : 'Summer Means Fun', another by Bruce and Terry classic, written by P.F. 'Eve Of Destruction' Sloan in what must have been a fit of optimism.

These are great choices. There were a few I have not heard in awhile and had to do and listen to immediately and even a couple I've never heard of like "Here Comes Summer" from Dave Clark 5. I love finding and listening to "new" music!
