SStran antenna question

I have an SStran 3000. I do not have room for the ground mounted antenna with radials.
Any suggestions on what would be the best antenna to use and best place & height to mount it?

Thanks

You can use a 102" whip antenna

If you're going to use it within Part 15 regulations the length of the antenna and associated ground wires can not exceed 3 meters. If you're not going to use a ground lead your antenna can be slightly longer - approx 118 inches is my guess without having the calculations for foot/meter conversions at my fingertips.

A follow up question would be are you not using a ground due to reasons you can't overcome such as operating location (i.e., indoor operation, HOA regulations, etc)?

What are the advantages of using a ground lead? Is that going to actually increase the range more than if I didn't use one? Are you talking about an attachment to a ground rod or waterpipe?
