Sinclair Tabs Chad Conklin for GM of KOMO-TV and KOMO Radio

Sinclair Broadcast Group has announced tat Chad Conklin has been named General Manager of its television and radio properties in Seattle.

Conklin has served as General Manager of Sinclair’s TV properties in Flint MI since 2011. He began his career at WSMH-TV Flint in 2000 and rose to National Sales Manager in 2004, then Local Sales Manager in 2005 and General Sales Manager in 2008.

Sometimes GM's from smaller markets are just more creative, including taking some risks, when it comes to bringing in NTR. Larger market GM's are much more safe and conservative in their approach. Given the recent developments, KOMO could probably use some creativity on the business side.
