SF Weekly Warfield????

I just checked pollstar.com and it looks like The Warfield entertainment venue is no longer managed by CC, I believe the naming rights were sold and now it's called the SF weekly warfield, how lame ass is that, first it's mcafee coliseum, then monster "cable" park, sbc park which is pretty cool, hp pavilion, but SF WEEKLY warfield??? it just does not fit very well, but I guess if you got the money to waste, then whatever!!!! companies and their advertising budgets never amaze me.

WARFIELD? hahaha...thats a new one. I love it actually.

Actually this happened about a month ago. Needless to say the SF Bay Guardian has been merciless in its criticism. Bet they become more selective about what shows to review too.

Actually, Clear Channel still manages the Warfield... it was they that cut the deal with SF Weekly and renamed it. Now CC advertises its concerts exclusively w/SF Weekly and their partner publications (nowhere else) and in return for the exclusive arrangement, take a fee from SF Weekly. Isn't monopoly a beautiful thing?
