The much delayed purchase of KBLA by Tavis Smiley may be off altogether according to Inside Radio: article_d0d03e48-f899-11ee-9dbe-075f379c7296.html

If true, this will save Smiley from overpaying for a marginal ancient modulation station. Plenty of issues before the Commission on both the Seller and Buyer's sides regarding the sale. But the LMA might continue on without further scrutiny.
