Me Snider, The Nuge, Alice Cooper, Flo & Eddie, etc etc. All celebrities who traded on their marquis value to attract an audience in radio. All of them suck. DLR may turn out to be the worst, though beating Dee will take some doing. Roth is, at best, a good 3 minute interview. He spews out a stream of cryptic rhetoric that sounds kind of cool, briefly, but really means nothing. He's been laying out the same stuff for 20 years and it's really tired. He's completely phoney and I doubt he has a real personality under all that blather. Part of Stern's genius is coming off like he's being totally honest and real. Dave doesn't have a sincere bone in his body and couldn't even fake it if his life depended on it. I predict that the villagers will storm the stations with torches and pitch forks before his first show finishes.
