Rally to SAVE KLSD 1360 - MONDAY 8/27 7:30AM

Fortunately, your opinion is held by the loonie few.

Here's what I think happened: When Ed Shultz moved to mornings, that's when KLSD's audience took a dive.. Fighting Irish can't comprehend the drop in ratings, and KLSD can't either given that Err Amerika continued to juggle it's lineup and get out of bankruptcy. And this constant drum beat you guys have on 911 conspiracies is a turn off to normal folks. also KLSD assumed more debt because it had to pay for ABC news..

The bottom line is, KLSD was heavily subsidized by the San Diego Cluster for 3 long years. This misbehaving sibling needs to be cut loose. Since you really can't disavow your brother/sister, you have to change it.. sports talk is non partisan, and it now it makes sense because why would KOGO make this big announcement on taking on SDSU sports and not have a slot for it with out the normal lead in's.. And there is no sports talk in San Diego, albeit the weak sig's of ESPN 800 and "no coverage in El Cajon" 1090.

Randi Rhodes claimed she had 6 million listeners streaming, so join her on the stream, so she can claim she has 7 million now :D

Sad that you had to resort to all this infantile name calling, but you are what you are.

The last time the station make any significant on-air changes (besides some nighttime shuffling with Malloy and Elliott), they were still in the middle of the Winter book. Hartmann replaced Franken in February. Schultz moved his live show back three hours in February, but refeeds it to affiliates immediately afterward.

For the other stuff, you haven't stepped up with any proof to back you wild-eyed claims. Just a lot of immature insults.

An exercise in Perspective...
San Diego is a Democratic town now, there are more registered Democrats than Republicans in this city. But imagine if it were a Republican city, with three Democratic stations pumping out nothing but the Democratic message 24-7, and your one Republican station was on one of the weakest signals and constantly being threatened with closure from a company controlled by wealthy Democrats in some distant eastern city. How would it feel? How would it feel if every time you tuned one of the Democratic stations all you heard was lies about your Republican Party and its politicians and talk show hosts not merely questioning your patriotism but flat out saying you didn't even have any; that you were an ally of Osama bin Laden and murdering terrorists. Would that sit well with you? And do think about how it would feel.

Until Air America on KLSD came along, I had given up on radio, there was simply zero reason to listen to anything but tapes and cd's--who would want to turn on the radio only to be insulted, to have his intelligence insulted, to be lied about. If it goes off the air I can easily give up radio again, its no problem at all, life is fine without radio.

Life is fine without politicians.... on the radio or in city hall :D
Do ya really think there's much difference between Republicans and Democrats??

Well that's CS - those were directly relevant to the worthiness of this format and radio station: it's a format based on a philosophy (not a sound one, but.... ::) This station will live or die based on whether anyone beyond the current miniscule audience will buy into it.
