PR Arbitron Ratings out

I'm not going to get into a "Ooh, Station X is bigger and better than Station Y" discussion.

What I want to know is why are there so many stations counted individually when many of them are actually just extending the coverage of the big stations in San Juan.

Examples: (main stations in bold)
WKAQ-WUKQ-WYEL
WPRM-WRIO-WIVA
WUNO-WPRP-WORA-WCMN
WSKN-WDEP-WKJB..and so on.

Maybe if the networks were counted together, the ratings may be diferent.

But what do I know? ;D

It is about Arbitron policy. To be added, stations must 100% simulcast, which none of the PR nets do. The nets do local spot breaks, so can not be added. However, in maximiser, etc. one can ceate combos and see the totals.

Significant this book is that this is the first time since September of 1985 that Salsoul was not #1.
