Old Atlanta Personalities

Someone posted a few days ago about writing a book about Atlanta radio and the personalities. I think it would be a great idea. Even if it didn't sell a lot it would be good to have it in the Atlanta library and other places for future reference. When the "old folks" are gone a lot of history goes with them.
I know this won't interest many of the folks who read this board but some of the "old timers" might remember some of these folks.I won't mention WSB folks since they are well documented on their history site.

Bob McKee, morning man on WQXI ; Hank Morgan, on WQXI and also did some play by play sports: Bob Corley, may have been in sales but also did a country show at one time on WQXI, Buckhead, as Cousin' Zeke or something like that. He also made some comedy records for RCA. ...I remember one titled "Number One Street" about US 1 in Florida I believe.
Jon Farmer, announcer on WAGA radio; Jim Wood, Atlanta Crackers play by play man on WAGA Radio and TV; Dale Clark, newsman on WAGA radio who had a talk show before talk shows were popular in '56 or '57.
Les Hendrickson, who was supposed to have been the first and last voice heard on WCON, The Atlanta Constitution station that was short lived because of the merger between the Constitution and Journal.
Warren Roberts, popular gospel and country dj and station manager at WEAS/ WGUN and later worked at WTJH and WSSA.
"Jack the Bellboy" at WEAS... can't remember his real name.
Bob Gallion, country dj on WEAS or maybe it had changed to WGUN by then.
Ed Thilenius, "Voice of the Bulldogs" for years and later did Falcon games for CBS. Sports announcer on WAGA-TV, at one time they wore tux on the set to do the news and sports. Can't see that happening today.
Of course Zenas "Daddy" Sears, WGST and WAOK. Ed Sharpe, called himself "Pappy Sharappie", on WGST. And Uncle Eb Brown,or Bill Lowery, on WGST and WGST-FM. There are probably a lot more you may recall, if so tells us about them.

No. Bob was there in the 50s, long before Gary.

Speaking of older personalities in Atlanta:
There was Red Jones on WQXI and later on WFOM
I found a record called "Crusin' 66" that was pretty much and air check of Dr. Don Rose
In Newnan there was Alvin Johnson

Last I heard, Big Hugh Baby (WLAC/WPLO/WFOM) was heard on Sun. mornings on WWEV/91.5. He tapes his show on Thursdays. (That was 2-3 years ago...)

He worked for a short time at WACX austell, am 1600, this used to be a
Smaller player, but a good player in the atl radio market. Lots of talent
came from this place, Gary Kinsey, on eagle 106.7, Mark Mc cain, also eagle on weekends, former 96 rock in the mornings, with steve mitchell, I also had the pleasure of breaking in the biz here as well. Capt herb emory was mornings,
it was a good radio station, Now only memories remain, as we have another
great mex station... How many more stations can we lose?
