Not ready for prime time.....

While I realize that some stations have more resources and talent than others,
WEVV-TV sets low standards and fails to meet them. The newscasts are
noteworthy in the plethora of mispronunciations, miscues, dead air and
missed opportunities. I tune in whenever I'm looking for a lot of laughs.

The mispronounced works can be corrected to a degree by Internet searches. Some names are on the Internet too. I had the luxury to being able to listen to a national newscast driving in to hear some non Anglo names pronounced back in the day. Doing rip and read news and sometimes not able to pre read the teletype copy, I have butchered my share of world leaders' names. That was pre public Internet days.

Now with digital editing programs, digital switching, and cellphones to overcome the OTA digital delay a few competent people should be able to put on a decent half hour newcast.
