Local radio in Hawaii not there when needed

From the article,
"On a typical Sunday morning, there is only one employee overseeing the same prerecorded show being broadcast over the seven radio stations owned by Clear Channel"
Typical clear channel (not to mention countless other radio companys). So much for being live and local

Let me put in a word for Salem's stations in Honolulu...

Salem Communications Corporation (NASDAQ:SALM - News), a leading U.S. radio broadcaster, Internet content provider and magazine publisher targeting audiences interested in Christian and family-themed content and conservative values, broadcast live disseminating critical information to Hawaii residents, while most other stations were knocked off the air, shortly after being shaken by a 6.6 earthquake.

The quake hit at approximately 7:07 am October 15 and quickly was followed by state-wide power outages. Salem Media of Hawaii staff and on-air talent broadcast live keeping the public up to speed with any new developments. KHNR's Roger Daniels and Jack Waters were joined by Oldies 107.9 (KGMZ) morning show hosts John Matthews and the Kap'n providing a steady stream of updates on most of Salem's FM stations throughout the day.

Salem? Live and Local??? Surely you jest

Can you even hear WLSS up there in Tampa? Live and Local? I dont think so.... When the studio is over 60 miles away from the city of license that's not live and local. And your city studio over there in the old Florida Power bldg in St. Pete to keep you legal?
