Local Ads During XM's MLB Coverage?

Subscribers to the MLB Extra Innings package know that along with coverage of the cable network showing the baseball game, the local spots remain intact.

Are the local ads on the stations' feeds during baseball games remaining intact on XM as well? I searched back in this forum, and someone back in January said that may be the case. I request a confirmation.

Thanks.<P ID="signature">______________

I think it has a lot to do with how much attention the board-op is paying to the broadcast. Usually, XM subsitutes its own ads for other streams, upcoming events, and other other baseball coverages. However, on several ocaisions, I have noticed the local spots remain.

Off topic rant: My local cable company does not offer the Extra Innings package any more due to the past low buy rate in a heavily ethnic neighborhood. Boo Charter Cable of Burbank/Glendale, CA!!!

Havent listened to XM Baseball as frequently lately because of work, but It seems that at least early in the season, Local spots would play after half an inning while XM spots would be aired the next half-inning.

Why no pre or post-game shows?

On a slightly different topic, why aren't pre and post game shows available? Would it cost that much more? It would add a lot of local flavor to those of us who miss our hometowns.

I think it has to do with the way contracts are written with each team's flagship. Some pre/post game shows are available, some not.
