Laurie Cantillo Named New WTOP PD

Conveniently, WTOP is planning to "go digital and go large" which includes the hiring of a digital editor. This digital unit will only flourish under Cantillo's watch; she's brought WABC into the social networking era in her tenure there. Go on WABC's website... That "17th Floor" bit is her baby. hat said, I would hope the current regime at WABC maintains it, rather than dismiss it just like they did Joe Crummey (a Laurie hire).

This is cool. Per DCRTV.com:
"Laurie Cantillo... has been named one of the "Most Influential Female Programmers In Radio" by Radio Ink." Quoth Jim Farley: "We know Laurie is one of the most admired people - not just female - in radio, but it's always great to have it recognized by the industry... We are thrilled that of all the choices she had, she landed here in Washington with us."
