I dunno.

Does anyone know anyone associated with this station, and when do the fiddles fade away?

Heard them a few weeks back, string quartet arrangements of pop songs.

Wiki.:
>> The station is owned by Birch Broadcasting and is currently playing string arrangements of classic rock and pop music performed by the Vitamin String Quartet. The station sought permission to remain silent for an additional extended period, however this was denied by the FCC in June 2012.

Some kind of limbo? Oh, they've only been in this limbo since 2009...

>>Aug of 2012: Now, the station has changed its tune in a big way. Classical covers of songs like “Pour Some Sugar on Me” are all that have played on 102.3 for weeks. The music, recorded by the L.A.-based Vitamin String Quartet, is a placeholder, and not likely to last. Industry journalist Scott Fybush says the station’s owner is satisfying a federal requirement prohibiting dead air. He compares 102.3 to an empty store at a mall, except unlike a defunct Circuit City, FM airwaves are public and subject to regulation.

It's come up here before.
