I know you may not have the answer to this, but I'm hoping you might be able to point me in the right direction:
John Schneider's "It's Now Or Never" was released as a 7" 45 RPM record, as a track on the LP "Now Or Never," and later on the K-Tel compilation CD "Behind Closed Doors: Classic Country for Consenting Couples."
The CD version, the 7" commercial single release, and the album version all apparently have the steel guitar in it.
I have an mp3 of a vinyl version sent to me years ago by a friend... and it has NO steel guitar.
It sounds to me like it is a radio remix of some kind, maybe a DJ promo version sent to top 40 radio when the song began to cross over.
The version I have can be heard in this video:
http://youtu.be/orf16TrmQuo
or in this mp3:
http://beemp3.com/download.php?file=2268285&song=It%27s+Now+Or+Never
Do you know where it could be from, or do you know who might know?
Thanks in advance for ANY help you can offer!!
