Twenty-four years on the air, and today, his show ended rather silently. Based on the reports, Bert Weiss, Diamond's former co-host, is coming back to WRQX, in syndicated form (unless something changes, the show will be piped in from Q100 Atlanta).

On the other side of the story, the Post's Paul Farhi reports that Mix's station manager is saying that an announcement will be made on Monday concerning the show's replacement. (See http://www.washingtonpost.com/lifes...66bd40-aea8-11e2-a986-eec837b1888b_story.html.)

That article says Diamond pre-dated the change from Top 40 to AC as Mix 107.3. He actually started the day that Mix debuted.

I had the pleasure of working with Jack several years ago. He's a naturally gifted entertainer, and 24 years in Morning Drive at the same station in a Top 10 market is a testament to his talent! Best of Luck, Jack!

My sources here in Atlanta say that, indeed, Bert Weiss will syndicate his show to Washington, DC on Mix 107.3. Whether he stays in Atlanta is unknown right now.

It will be from Atlanta, since "The Bert Show" lists several affiliates on it's website.

I would think that this will eventually be the morning show on all of Cumulus's Hot AC stations.
