If anyone is planning to get the iPhone 6s instead of the iPhone 7

If anyone is planning to get the iPhone 6s instead of the iPhone 7 after the announcement of the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, and/or iPhone 7 Pro to take advantage of the reduced $100 on the iPhone 6s, you might as well should take advantage of the 64 GB iPhone 6s over the 16 GB iPhone 6s. The 64 GB iPhone 6s is going to be the same price as the 32GB iPhone 7, but you get twice the storage. My point is that a 16 GB iPhone isn't going to be good enough for you.

This is what I believe is going to be the new line-up for the Apple iPhones after the announcement of the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, and/or iPhone 7 Pro.

(Full price / Two-year contract)
iPhone 7 Pro 256 GB - $1049.99 / $599.99
iPhone 7 Pro 128 GB - $899.99 / $449.99
iPhone 7 Pro 32 GB - $749.99 / $299.99
iPhone 7 128 GB - $849.99 / $399.99
iPhone 7 64 GB - $749.99 / $299.99
iPhone 7 32 GB - $649.99 / $199.99

iPhone 6s Plus 128 GB - $849.99 / $399.99 (Discontinued)
iPhone 6s Plus 64 GB - $749.99 / $299.99
iPhone 6s Plus 16 GB - $649.99 / $199.99
iPhone 6s 128 GB - $749.99 / $299.99 (Discontinued)
iPhone 6s 64 GB - $649.99 / $199.99
iPhone 6s 16 GB - $549.99 / $99.99

iPhone SE 64 GB - $499.99 / $49.99
iPhone SE 16 GB - $399.99 / Free

I also believed that the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus is going to be discontinued right after the announcement of the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, and/or iPhone 7 Pro while the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will be moved down to the mid-tier and the iPhone SE will stay at the entry-level. I also believed the 128 GB models of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will also be discontinued as well after the announcement of the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, and/or iPhone 7 Pro.

Although if you go to distributors like T-Mobile, Sprint, Best Buy, or Walmart, you will still find the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in stock and you will still find the 128 GB of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus in stock for a matter of time.

It probably make sense for you to get the 16 GB iPhone 6s if you're financially tight. But, if you're going for the iPhone 6s because you don't like the iPhone 7 then you really should consider going for the 64 GB storage model of the iPhone 6s. You may be thinking why would pay the same price for the iPhone 6s as the price for the iPhone 7. Well if you think about it, you would get twice the storage rather than just half of the storage. That's four times the amount of storage. The 64 GB iPhone 7 is going to cost you $100 more anyways, so you're not technically paying the same price for the iPhone 6s as the price for the iPhone 7.

iOS 10 and the future iOS 11 is going to take up even more disk space on your phone. The apps in the app store are also gradually getting larger each time they get updated.

If you're going to get the cheapest iPhone 7, it would likely be good enough because it will come with 32 GB of internal storage, but if you're going to get the cheapest iPhone 6s, it will not be good enough because it will only come with 16 GB of internal storage unlike the iPhone 7. So, if you planned to go for the iPhone 6s instead of the iPhone 7, you really should get the 64 GB storage option instead because you'll likely won't have enough storage with 16 GB of internal storage even if you don't use that much space.

Same goes for the anyone who wants to go for the 4-inch iPhone SE instead of the 4.7-inch iPhone 7 this Fall. You should get the 64 GB iPhone SE instead of the 16 GB iPhone SE.

It's purely speculation. We will find out what the line-up for the iPhones is going to look like at the announcement this coming September.
