As we all know by now, the list of alphabetic names for hurricanes has run out for the season, and next we go to the Greek alphabet. What's your prediction on how many (record-setting) letters in we'll get before November 30?

I call Gamma.

Re: Hurricane Pool; "FINAL CURTAIN FOR 2005 SEASON"

I'm ready for my cold winter, Mr. DeMille!
Line, scene, lights, act, curtain, final bow.

NO ENCORES OR AUTOGRAPHS PLEASE; those requesting so will be asked to leave the region.

All kidding and jokes aside, the run of your favorite TV/radio/stage show; when it has its final episode or performance, it goes out with a bang.

For anyone anywhere other than south of Jacksonville and north of anywhere past the Cuban shoreline, hope that Wilma, the monster she is right now at a Category 5 with winds faster than the speed of the best Indy 500 pacer car, weakens enough so not to be Andrew II for South Florida, and that she closes the '05 season.

So everybody, BE PREPARED WHEREVER YOU ARE; BE SMART. If we can get through this OK, look forward to winter; I still have a bet I made with someone when I was 11 that it was going to snow; still going on! I'm ready to collect, and for some well-deserved open windows.

------------------------

On a funny note, I had an interesting thought pop in my head at 3 this morning updating myself on this thing; Andrew: hit August, 1992. Wilma: October, 2005. 13 years apart. 13.

Lucky number 13; how about let's blame it on the Miami Dolphins for not getting Danny Marino his Super Bowl ring? Or the football gods?? LOL

Everybody be safe; a couple of more weeks and things cool off literally!

As much as I wish Wilma would be last storm of this year. We still have 6+ weeks to go in the season and we will still probly have at least 4 more storms

My sentiments as well. But with this kind of season, you never know; it'd be nice.

Re: Hurricane Pool; "FINAL CURTAIN FOR 2005 SEASON"
