The fact that you are so remorseful proves that you have a good heart and simply made a mistake. You've apologized...do yourself a favor and move on...don't let it ruin your whole life!

With regard to radio in general, I think a lot of people share your frustration with stations flipping to formats that, quite frankly, are not really targeted to the communities they are broadcasting to. I'm not in Atlanta, I'm in Florida near the Georgia line, and we have 5 AM stations here. If you added ALL the AM
stations' ratings together you're still only on the neighborhood of a 5-ish share. 2 stations don't show at all, 2 are in the basement and 1 has a real rating.
I worked at one of the ones that now doesn't show and it kind of hurts to see it
clinging to life support (satellite feeds), signing on at 7:30 AM and signing off at 4 or 4:30 in the afternoon (when it could be on until 8:45)...not while I was there. It used to be a real station, with local shows(except for the block preaching times), giveaways, request shows, remotes and the like. And, it
made money in the process. One time a man came in and gave us a check for $1000
on the spot..and it wasn't even a non-commercial station!
I'd guess that you're a really nice guy with a passion for radio..be encouraged

Your not the only person to have to choke down the taste of their own shoe leather. Especially in this industry! Take it easy on yourself.
