How Clear Can WSRZ (Oldies 108) Be Picked Up In Tampa?

For oldies fans waiting for Jack on 104.7, I wonder if you can hear the hash of Orlando's Magic 107.7 interfering with Oldies 108 in Tampa?

First off, I don't think Tampa is a market ideal for the Variety Hits format, for reasons already covered on here. But, as always, never say never in radio.

As for Oldies 108, I can pick it up pretty well in my car, with better reception toward the south on I-275 versus north up near the I-4 junction. 107.9 is in my regular rotation for stations to check on the radio dial scan. I've never noticed interference from 107.7 in Mt. Dora, though reception does get sketchy at times, more due to the signal fading than anything.

(Here's the radio-locator map of WSRZ-FM</a>[/b], which you'll notice loses city-grade strength just north of Bradenton)

If the Orlando station on 107.7 has recently installed IBOC, that would cause the interference you hear on 107.9 About a year ago, WSRZ moved their antenna a few miles north. It used to be in Venice, now its in Osprey along US41 by the connector to I75. It's on the same tower now with 92.1

> Easily heard on car radio throughout Pinellas County. Only decent tropo conditions effect them here.
