HD Radio Signal

How far will an HD radio signal travel? I'm from the Reading, PA area, and I was wondering if I'll be able to receive the Philadelphia HD radio broadcasts. Will the reception be good on a home stereo, but get a lot of "drop outs" in the car? I'm under the impression that with HD radio, you either hear it or you don't. There's no "in between" with any static.

The coverage map for HD is usually much less then its analog count part. So the better question is, how well do you get analog from Philadelphia?<P ID="signature">______________

It depends on the station in Philly. Most of the Philly FM's are between "fair" and "good" reception. Out of all the stations, I'd say that 95.7, 98.1, 98.9, 104.5, and 106.1 are received the best.
