La Kalle and Mega are both Hurban/Reggaeton formats, so same target demos and very similar playlists.

Not to be a consiracy therorist, but doesn't the person that made that post on the SA board (D Eduardo) have some sort of affliation with Univsion? Maybe a slip of the tounge about Univision's plans to go head to head with Clear Channel in Houston with the Hurban format? Do you think they'll flip their Amor station in Houston to compete with Mega?

you will notice that he corrected himself in this post:

Now who knows Univision might be planning to flip one of it struggling(SP) stations to Hurban but most likely not

Kinda hard to believe now that Univision has flipped Salsa 98.3 in Miami to "La Kalle". Now the first "Hurban" war is on. What's to stop it from happening with one of Univision's Houston properties (if not Amor, maybe KPTY?)

WRTO is not Hurban. It is reggaetón and tropical, while WMGE is reggaeton and pop and dance and even has old freestyle. Plus some hip hop.

Hint... look at billing.
