IS CHR seeing a resurgence?
That's quite a 6+ jump, but several books will be needed to confirm it as a trend. Since CHR still seems to be in the doldrums elsewhere, I suspect that some sort of problem in the composition of the PPM panel last month might have benefited Detroit's CHR station. And, as it's been explained repeatedly here, advertisers and ad agencies do not make buys based on one book.

WJLB saw a similar bizarre surge last summer, I believe, which proved to be very short lived.

That said, 95.5 does sound really good right now, while 96.3 sounds lame and unfocused. 95.5 in the past couple months began playing more gold from 10, 20 even 25 years ago. Throwback jams that 105.1 normally plays. Add to that the fact 93.9 Virgin Radio's audio issues rendered that station unlistenable for most of the latest survey period, and you've got a potential explanation for why 95.5 saw a nice boost.
