Sorry, for a 'weird' almost non-radio post..but,

what station covers the dolphins?
(and, are they generous w/ free/comp. tickets)...

and, if not, to the above, how much is expected to
pay either, at the window(if available) *OR* do i have
to visit the 'corner' ticket window..(scalpers)..and what
is their estimated asking price?

-Travelling from buffalo, want to see miami lose
to the bills on the home game ( 12.4)

How are things in WKBW-land?

I don't have tickets, but I have two suggestions:

1. Just for fun, see Florida Media Pick On Buffalo -- Again!

2. Use the green link below and go to Miami Dolphins Tickets in right column.

station, if u want it..let me know..i will

WMXJ, and they stream too.

Majic 102.7 has been selected as the FM home for Miami Dolphins football broadcasts in 2005. You can hear all Dolphins games from kick-off to the final whistle thanks to 790 The Ticket – the flagship station of the Miami Dolphins Football Network. Listen to the Miami Dolphins trounce the competition!

I'm sure they could "hook you up"! We treat all Canadians and New Yorkers like honored guests. Bring lots of Money, we charge you people more :)

Re: WMXJ, and they stream too.

I am the opposite of a football fan, but I understand that the streams are blacked out during games because NFL and other leagues offer subscription for a fee if you want to stream games.

Also, I rembember when the Yankees started broadcasting their games on WABC around 1980. That was the beginning of the end for WABC (and I don't mean Funky Nassau).

This guy is travelling to Miami to see our team lose?

I say 'our' Team like I really care too. Perhaps he will get lost in Overtown, Opa Loca, or even Liberty City looking for that free Ticket?

Maybe he doesn't have a life like me and finds any excuse to travel, although I would have other reasons for visiting Miami.

By the way miamimadman, do you live in South Florida or Southern California?

This is the last place I would want to visit!

I came from the West, taking a job here in the East, encouraging the Cuban Peoples to come visit Miami by Boat. In fact "How to build a Boat" was one of the top rated shows at Radio Marti. I'm leaving soon, perhaps to visit Cuba?

Re: This is the last place I would want to visit!

>Yes, I enjoy (*LOVE*) to travel.
ANd, not into the museums, art galleries,etc..If I am gonna
go some where, it is for the *(RADIO)* weather, sports, zoo's,
and amusement parks. [I went to phx,AZ just to check out
the sports and Energy-Arizona].

-Secondly, you won't like this but...this past weekend...
i went to cleveland to see the browns game!! versus
the dolphins, if you are in question/wondering which
game it was - well, the final was browns 22 dolphins zip!!
...yes, it was the same week, the bills LOST 48-10!!!

Opatishawockalocka (Opa-Locka) or Lockport?

Most of Buffalo is worse than Overtown, Opa-Locka, or
even Liberty City. So how would he know he was lost in
a bad neighborhood? (Besides, Opa-Locka has very interesting
historic architecture, such as city hall, much more attractive
than Joe Robbie Stadium.)

If I lived in Buffalo I'd stay home and listen to oldies on
WKBW (I mean WWKB) rather than going to Florida and facing
possible humiliation and abuse from stuck-up Miami sports
fans and media -- and possibly even from the Doplhins.
(See the URL I cited previously in this thread.)

I used to work down the road from Opa-Locka, in Liberty City!

I thought MMM was a pseudonym for Alfred E Neuman. (Not Newman
from Seinfeld.) Or maybe even his cousin, Sylvester P. Smythe.

Re: WMXJ, and they stream too.

Gees. I remember that song and liked it too. Clever how you got that in :) For WMXJ, it may not mean anything but just a way for the station to attract more listeners. Here in Jacksonville Fl, one of Cox Radio's FM stations Eagle 96.9 (classic hits) carries the Jaguars. Prior to that it was Cool 96.9 (oldies) and that was done for years. Oh Oh. The station did eventually change format after all. I still listen to Majic via streaming and what a shame the format is going away all over the country. I would hate to see that happen to what still is my favorite radio station even though I've moved from South Florida (near Peppertree by the way) since 97.

Pretty cool tidbit of American History. Enjoyed your response(s) to Val. So he claims to come from South Florida, and South Florida Radio?.

That mini Camera from your site is a must have for Christmas. Please send more subliminal stuff our way there 954!

Fun with font colors

Que eso?

But ...here goes:

Just make the font color close to the background color.
(I just used white.)
It's very simple html. The funny thing is, the background
color here is very close to color I've used for a few years
as background for many pages on my site. So it was a fluke
when I was fooling around with the colors.

If you can't read it, just select it as a block and there it is!

Sorry it's gone

This is terrible, didn't even know it was missing?

I recently bought a public domain Robert Mitchum movie at the Dollar Tree. He's working for the Fed's conducting subliminal advertising on children!

Plot Summary for
Agency (1980)
A mysterious millionaire buys an ad agency and begins to replace its employees with his own people, who don't appear to be advertising types at all. A copywriter begins to suspect that the man isn't interested in selling products as much as he is in inserting his own sinister political beliefs into the commercials the agency runs on TV in order to subliminally brainwash an unsuspecting public into supporting the causes and candidates he wants them to. When the copywriter confides his suspicions to a friend and soon afterwards is mysteriously killed, his friend begins his own investigation

It was a 1981 Canadian film, filmed in the Montreal area, which also starred Lee Majors (between $6M Man and Fall Guy).

I saw it on TV once in the late-1980s -- Mitchum used the ad agency and subliminal technology (to play videos subliminally, as opposed to just quickly fashing captions) as part of his political campaign (don't know which position, though).

It was okay when I saw it -- nothing to write home about, though.

If the technology did actually exist back then, it would've been perfect for the anti-drug, "Just Say No" campaign (watch the film and you'll know what I mean).
Edited by rugrats1 on 11/30/05 01:11 AM.
